Ripe/Gravid?

Post by ZeroZ »

It's so hard to see when my Metae females are full of eggs, I have feeded them for 1 month now! Whit bloodworms, daphnia and much more. And i just can't see if they're ready. How fat are they actually when it's time?

Please tell me!

Hi!
They look very rond, form the top and from the side.
They are ready when you can differentiate the female of the male jsut by seeing a rounder belly when you look at both form the side.
You might need to triger them.

My are quite fat, but when she has been eating and become more fater, her stomach shrinks later after 1 hour. It's hard to explain, but that's it.
She's looking like this (hard to write):

But is it same for you, that the fish becomes very fat @ food time, and after a hour she's a bit smaller?
