smaller niger catfish

Post by lovecatfish4928 »

I'm looking for a smaller catfish for 75 gallon community tank that looks similiar to a niger catfish or a giraffe catfish? Is the striped raphael catfish the only choice ? Any amor catish in the range of 6 to 8 inch size ?

Dwarf giraffe catfish, is occasionally available. Smaller doradidae there are quite a few of - they won't look quite like , the most common would be the "striped doras" (normally sold as P. costatus, but that's a long term incorrectly used ID).

Both the striped raph & the dwarf giraffe cat will eat small fish if they get the chance although neither is a true predator - so what other fish were you considering for this community?

From the armoured doradids you might wanna consider...

both of which are imported every so often, or maybe even Hassar if you can find them although these are much less often seen

Jacob: Yeah not with another fu**!ng guy!
Lou: It's still a three-way!
