Hi!
I don't know what medication you are using but you have to stick up with the notice!
Don't change water every day, waterchange should be made once the treatment is done, your waterchange will make a drop of T° in the tank, it will also stress the fish and dissolved the medication making it not usefull.
Be carefull as Ich can be also a sign a bacterial infection...
Cheers

Hi!
I wonder if you checked the papers with the medication for i cant see that they make you stuff that you do? When medicating you should stop putting water quality enhancers in cauz most of them bind medication...also you should remove any active carbon from your filter...
good luck

Hi Caril,
What is the cyst you're saying that is on the tank bottom? For treatment, I would usually do many small water changes daily (not too much to stressed the sick fish up) or large water change after a few days. I would advise the latter only if you're putting the fish in a seperate tank where you know the filtration is not going to be enough.
What filter are you using? Some filter medium, eg some kind of wools, carbon, do asorb the medication so the medication gets milder than what you're put! (BUT DONT OVERDOSE KNOWING THAT!)

Hi, what are the dosage instructions on the medication you are using? Although it is wise to sometimes under dose, as some medication is not tolerated, by certain fish, you may find that the dose you are using is not fully killing the parasite in all stages. That is why it keeps returning. Are you using live food? I recently discovered an L14 with patches and just by changing feeding and tankmates fish improved rapidly.

Caril!!
You should stick to the instruction,if you put 30 drops daily, it is normal you have not seen any thing better with them... you can underdose but not that much...
With so little the medication will have no effetc on the disease!!!
It is really important to stick with the instruction, these medication have been studied to be use in such way:
To much Underdosing: no effects
Overdosing: kill the disease along the fish

status update:
the white spots are disappearing after i increased the dosage.
but they are not as lively as before.
for the pleco with white patches, the white patches are not as clear now.
i think its peeling off slowly.
i feel that they are getting better though.
hope that my instinct is correct.
