what is this plec?
could someone tell me what this is by the latin name please so I can look it up, thanks.

is this definitely not a gibbiceps because I was told that off the previous owner but just had to check.

I have been wrong on ID, but I'm pretty confident I'm right this time. There is absolutely no doubt on the genus - and should have a taller dorsal fin than the fish in the picture.

I noticed you own a pardalis plec and I am just wondering how big it has got mine is currently at 26cm and I have only had it for 2 weeks as I inherited it with a tank 400l. Do you think this size tank will be a reasonable size for it in the long run.

Mine is an "inherited" fish as well - I didn't really want it. Mine is about 35 cm, and it's "surviving" in a 48 x 18 x 15" tank. I probably really should move it to the fish-shop, but it's been in there for a while now, so I'm sure it's "OK".
