HI Al

I think that you have as this is usually what turns up in our LFS from time to time; and your fish look very similar IMHO to N spectabilis.

Thank you medaka.
I think so too.
About one and half years ago I find 6 nannoptopoma's into tank with Otocinclus sp. from Colombia in LFS.
Now I have 50-60 F1 1 year old. One of them you see on my pictures :) .

HI Al

Congratulations on spawning these. Maybe you could do an article for Planet Catfish on their spawning, I am sure it would be appreciate by many; including myself.

I can't ID this fish or the fish in the Nannoptopoma spectabilis Cat-eLog entry, but I'd be willing to bet money that the fish in the first image in the Cat-eLog entry is not the same species as what's in any of the other images.

Why isn't the same species on the other pictures? I'm not good at all on these species but for me the pictures shows the same species and probably the same speciemen in some of them, all taken by the same photographer except the one from Jon Armbruster... first pictures shows wrong colours due to the lighting and camera settings.

This Nannoptopoma can change a color easy. May be it is "Chameleon Nannoptoma"

I'm not at all an expert, but the fish in the first Bill Zellers image seems to have an iris diverticulum, something which really has me puzzled.

I have no problem with Al's fish, they look like Nannoptopoma to me.

In breeding tank water pH -7-7.5 , conductivity is 400-500 microsimens. T=27-29C. Internal filter and vertical tubes 100*25mm for breeding males.
