sick ancistrus?

sick ancistrus?

Hi,

I,ve just noticed that my ancistrus (two out of three anyway) Seem to have become alot duller and have also developed some lighter patches on their bodies. Their scales might be a bit raised as well but Ã

lightening of the color in any fish can be a result of stress or mood.
Also diet is a big part of the patches as long as they dont look milky and they look like they are part of the coloring you are ok.
Here is a picture of my sailfin which should be all dark brown with the spots but look at all his patches it is just his diet.

I think it's probably a mix between stress and unvaried diet, they get mostly spirunella tabs with the odd cucumber thrown in and I've just introduced a small shoal of really active tetras.
