Nope, couldn't do it. If it was a 'pet', no way. Fish in a restaurant, yum.
I couldn't eat anyone I've named

I'm allergic to eating fish, so no I never did

but I did offer friends fish I had raised. Petenia splendida (30 cm, lonely male) which I was unable to sell

When I wrote about it on a forum I did get a few negative comments, but most people (keepers of cich lids) did not mind, and agreed with me

I think, one can easily provide good care for many (cat)fish when small. The problem is, they do grow so big, and than wellfare becomes a problem.

Well, if one were to take good care of say his Pangasius, and kill it when over 18 inches, becose he can not hause it anymore (better keep them in a group, so you'll need a lot of friends teeat the results) I would not complain

I wouldn't eat a fish that was sick or unhealthy... Sounds either dangerous, or at least like it's not going to be the best meat. Indeed, many pet fish medications explicitly say that they should not be used on fish intended for human consumption.

No, never eaten one of the fish I've kept.

That's probably more to do with the fact that you need to have approval for food-fish medication, which is much more stringent testing/quality control/etc than that of general medication of fish.
