It shouldn't grow very big - the cat-elog says 76mm (SL) - this I suspect is based on collected specimens for the description, so it may grow a little bit larger [it is often difficult to find the very largest fish when collecting for science]. But I'd expect it to stay "reasonable size".

Looks like an exact match - what a great lookin' species - hopefully we'll see these in the UK (?)

I am so jealous. When will I ever see a proper bagrid again?

Yeah, Jessey, tell the store you bought this from to send a box over to the UK, they'd sell very well! :-) :-)

Out of curiosity, would you mind telling us how much you paid for this fish, how many the store had and, most usefully of all, do you know where the store imported them from???

i'm in hongkong. found it on the famous "fish street" where the whole street full of pet shops and aquariums.
there only 3 of them and were put in plastic bags. it is quit hard to find catfishes in here too...
but i only pay 25 hongkong dollars for it...
gotta get it when u see it or u might never see one again...
i have no idea where they imported from..
but that store always selling few fish at once only ...which is weird...
