Peppermint bristlenose
Here in Australia we only have access to a few Ancistrus species.
One of them is called the prppermint bristlenose and is tricky to shoot due to being black with small white dots. Does anyone know which species this is?
My best guess is dolichopterus.

Re: Peppermint bristlenose
The one that is usually identified as the species of the Australian peppermint pleco is .
I can say for sure that your fish is NOT (aka L183), as this species has more rays in the dorsal fin than yours.

Re: Peppermint bristlenose
Mats is right. Ancistrus dolichopterus keep the white seam on the dorsal and caudal fins, Ancistrus sp. L071 lose them as they mature.
Nice fish
