Hi bristlenosekid

Will prob go a bit higher yet Its not that much to someone that has other zebs and to add them to their colony to get the blood lines and pos breed as well with the ones they have.Where as its a much more of a gamble if you were buying just the " pair " even if " breeding pair " and not adding them to a established colony if you see what i mean . You have to look on it as as you see it in the buyers situation.
Yes they are a pair (2 fish are a pair)
Yes they could be breeding (maybe not with each other but breed at some time )
Yes they have pics of fry.?
There is no info on No spawn, how many eggs per spawn, how many survived, was the male good at looking after them (kick out or even eat them and so on and on.

Hope this helps Jerry

If you buy the zebras forget about them being a breeding pair but just consider them additions to your colony or the beginning of one.
Jerry covered the reasons why. Pay no more them than any other zebras of the same size. The "breeding pair" part is not something you can trust. Besides, a Zebra "pair" is only a temporary condition. Males spawn with the female most ready to spawn. They really don't form mated pairs like many Cichlids like Angelfish. The "wild caught" descriptor also cannot be trusted. How can you prove they are or are not caught in the wild?
Also remember that 150 H.zebra were recently stolen and whoever did that is going to be selling them a few here and few here no doubt under many different names and e-mail accounts. 150 Zebras suddenly on the market being sold by unknown persons may possibly have something to do with the theft. Check out the seller's history as well as you can.

I had some years ago, they were 'all the rage' at the time' and as i worked in a LFS, got them cheap. So wish I'd kept them now too
