Pictus cat and Clown loaches?

Post by Reiner »

Can I keep those 2 together in my community tank with Tiger barbs and Kribensis cichlid. I already have 2 Clown loaches in there and a small Bristlenose pleco. Now I'm thinking of adding 2 Pictus but since I never had them I'm worried that they might be to agressive during feeding time and my Clown loaches won't get any food. What do you guys think about the mix.
Ps: I've been keeping African cichlids for a while but I just got into the whole catfish thing and they are very interesting. I might have to dedicate a tank just for catfish.

;) I've kept both and I think you may have things reversed... I've never seen a clown loach hesitate to eat... I think they'd probably be fine together, as long as there is sufficent space for both species.

I have kept both (4 P.pictus and 6 clowns) together in a 720 l. for several years and there have never been any problems.
My cat's: Hypancistrus sp.(L66), H.zebra, Panaque maccus, P.nigrolineatus, Peckoltia sp.(L205?), Synodontis euptera, Pseudacanthicus cf. leopardus
