Need help to ID cory

Post by JoJo3131 »

Is this a bronze cory or something else? It was purchased at the same time I bought my Peppered Cory's (beginning of september) but it is definitely not a peppered cory. They have grown quite big and this one has stayed not even an inch long. I thought bronze cory's were supposed to grow to be 3 inches? I knew when I bought it that it wasn't a peppered cory, so it wasn't a surprise or anything. I only just managed to get really good pics of it, cory's wiggle a lot! :)

Hi,

with this pic it's difficult to say, another species that you might consider is C. concolor.

Cheers,

BTW, I guess all three photos did make it into the post, for some reason only two loaded on my computer at first. The cory has dark sides and a brown to its dorsal fin and other places on it's body, plus a white belly. It is the same age as my peppered corys (about 7 months in my tank, purchased at the same time) but this one is only about an inch long. I would really like to get some mates for it, but if I can't identify it I can't look for it by calling around. I thought it might be a bronze, but it seems pretty small.
Thanks,
Joanne
