L-271

Post by rickylbc »

Anybody has any experience with L-271? I picked up 8 large beautiful L-271, 2 males and 6 females, I wanna know what size cave to use. They are in quarantined right now.. I'll take more pictures after awhile, let me fatten them up.

I just picked up 6 as well. I have three that are over 4 inches, the others are all closer to 2.

How did you sex yours? What size are they?

The generic formula for "size of cave" is that it should be big enough for both male and female to get in there - at least somewhat at the same time, and small enough that the male can feel comfortably snug in there. Length should be a bit longer than the fish itself.

Mine are all between 4 to 5", I'll take pictures of them once I transfer them.

Would they use a cave to spawn?
