...at least that's what it was sold as, which seems right, except that it's about 1.5 inches longer than the maximum size given in the Cat-eLog. It has coloured up nicer than this in-shop pic shows.

I would not at all worry about the size being larger than the Cat-eLog - 180mm is not very large for a Hypostomus spp, and it's probably just that the collectors didn't want to waste some collection space with the largest specimens (or they didn't happen to find any really large fishes that day).

Beautiful fish, I've only seen one of these in the last few years, a real "classic" when it comes to plecos.
