dead cories again

I just found 2 more dead cories in my tank 2 sterbais, last time i also lost a sterbai.
not sure what the cause? ph is at 7.5, ammonia = 0, nitrite 0?
when i turned on the lights tonight, found 1 dying, swimming in circles on the sand, another one also died in a few minutes ,







what i did yesterday was change 30% of the water, and feed them frozen bloodowms, could the frozen bloodworms be the one causing death?

i have other cories in the tank, some rabautis and arcuatus, what should i do?

OK, a few questions...
How long have you had the fish?
Do all your fish come from the same store?
Are the sterbai which have died from the same batch as the last one you lost?
Do you know if they are wild caught or tank bred? Your fish store may be able to help with this if not known.
Looking closely at the fish, are the gill covers or the anal area red/blood streaked?
Are the bloodworm defrosted before feeding?
It does sound like some infection has been introduced, either with the cories, or something else. I'd suggest a course of anti-bacterial treatment (I'm not sure what is available, but Melafix appears to be a popular suggestion), and obviously avoid adding any new stock until it is under control.
The answers to the above may help give better suggestions to the more experienced members of this forum, but hopefully it's a start.

Are you adding a dechlorinator when you do water changes? You should use one that removes both chlorine and chloramine. (Chloramine is sometimes used by water companies instead of chlorine nowadays).

thanks, I will get melafix tmorrow.
what i do with the blood worms is i place the cube under the overhead filter so that it melts and sinks.

for water change i used some sodium thiosulfate. for chlorine, our water company here doesn't use chloramine.
I'm also suspecting some infection? today just lost a rabauti and another sterbai.
btw i think the sterbais are tabk bred, they were really small when i got them.

the 2 sterbais came from same shop. i also added some river sand about 2 weeks ago. maybe i should just rmeove the sand? only a really thin layer on half of the tanks buttom.

i also have a driftwood with some anubias attached to it.

So far have not loss any cories, I noticed that their appettite is no tthat good, Also there's scratching.
I've added melafix for 2 days now. what could be causing the scratching?

by scratching, do you man the fish 'flicks' itself against the sand or an object?

If it does this repeatedly there is some irritation caused by something on the skin, some form of parasite etc

I would consider putting all your catfish in a bare quarantine tank and treat them with praziquantal, flubendazole and metroniadazole,
This would be the time to buy your Corydoras so they get to go through the same treatment.
I would also treat them with malachite green solution per directions.
Leave in quarantine 2-3 weeks and feed as much live food as you can. Even newly hatched brine shrimp will be helpful if live worms are impossible to get.

Be sure to dose per instructions and actual tank volume. A 10 gal tank holds 8 to 9 gal normally no sand or ornaments.
Do not exceed one time or subsequent maximum allowable doses.

Just saw a sterbai last night lying on its back, i thought it was dead? but after a while it was gone , I'm planning to deworm the fish , will levamisole, flubendazole and mebendazole be a good combination?
