I just received this today:
Jayaram, K. C. & A. Sanyal, 2003. A taxonomic revision of the fishes of the genus Mystus Scopoli (Family: Bagridae). Records of the Zoological Survey of India 207: 1-141.
Nothing new described here..

Did it say anything new about M. leucophasis? It is strange that the species is the only one to swim upwards from Mystus group(Synodontis the other). Is it for sure Mystus or maybe something different?
Well i wish i was a catfish

Just the usual things. Mystus is a big mess right now that will be split into several genera once somebody studies them carefully.
It would seem obvious to put M. leucophasis in its own genus, wouldn't it? I tried looking at this once, but realized that the problem would not be possible without looking at all Mystus, which I was not prepared to do.
