Hi guys, I've worked out how to do the avatar but now I've got problems posting pics! Can anyone shed some light?

The "old" way of posting images is to use the img-tags, like this:
[img]http://www.someplace.com/somepath/someimage.jpg[/img]

For example, Imageshack.com will allow you to upload images and let you link to them.

Or you can use the "Upload attachment" tab just under the box where you type in your post, where click "Browse..." to select an image from your local machine, and then select "Add the file" to actually upload that file as an attachment to the post itself.

Have you tried making the avatar pic smaller?

Yes, I used to have an avatar but it got stolen/abducted a while back and I can't get it to upload any more.
It's a conspiracy I tell you!
