Need help ID my pleco

Hey all! I bought a pleco from

Petsmart classified as a common pleco, is that the official denomination? or is it one of the L-class i have heard so much about?

Thanks for your time and your help

PS: Thats not ick on the pleco, those are small sand particles that adhere to the glass from the sand substrate

Hello crocodylus.

I think your pleco is . No L number here i'm afraid.

This fish along with and some are all known as "common" plecos, as the look similar and have all been common in the trade at some point.
