I don´t do anything in particular to maken them breed easier i only change a lot of water every 4´th day so my wild discus and altum feel aight
The setup itself is easy, i only have some special made breedingcaves that i bought in Duisburg on the discusshow in october last year.
I have 2 caves and some skiffer stones laid together in a formation and nothing else.
The temp in my 720 tank is about 30 degrees celsius and ph about 5.5, microsiemens at 200.
I lower the ph with Oac bark extract before changing water in a special tank beside in my fishroom to 6 (it´s 8 in the tap)
That´s the whole secret in my breeding.
I also have a couple of sturisoma aureum in the tank and lot´s of cory sterbais that breed a lot in there to

nice tank drd, im gona spend a bit of time with mine over the next few week's to see what they like best to get them going. Ive started a bit of a breeding programme in my fish room, Ive got the L333's and i got 2 pair's of L260 a couple of week's ago, i have one L174 and im getting a few more from Pier Aquatic's soon. Ive had some L236 for over a year and 2 female L066 of which i got a big male for them last week. So all in all im going to be pretty busy in the coming months. Ive started a thread about it here http://www.pieraquatics.co.uk/ in the breeding section under "Kev's breeding programme". Please post your pic's on there, we need some more member's .

very cute drd they are coming on well . ive turned the heater up in the 333 breeding tank and have been power feeding the for over a week now, at the end of the week im going to turn down the heat and do a 50% water change with R.O. and see what that does.

Just posting a update on my L333 babies
They are about 20 mm long and all of them have survived but one.
They moved to a 70 litre tank now with a spongefilter driven by a powerhead 400l/h and they seems to grow slowly day by day.
They eat mostly brine shrimp and cyclops and some Dr.Basslers granule and some waffers.
I have 38 small L333´s now and another hatch is soon to come out of the cave because the male is guarding again.

Unfortunatly this is what i found in the breedingtank after work today.
One female L333 dead and big as hell on the stomach so i had to cut here open and see but then i found this.
I have seen the big male who is father to the babies with here in the cave yesterday but now he´s in there with another female and this mom is dead.

DRD thats a shame about the loss of the female L333, but otherwise you have some very happy fish there. I can see why..... your tanks look superb and very clean. You keep catfish that are truly comfortable in a discus tank .
Hate to go off the subject of cats for a moment, but those altum angels look great. Are they showing any signs of pairing-up and breeding?

Hmm....what to do with them
Just sell them to one of swedens biggest fishstore supplier
And i have lot´s of friends that are going to buy some from me.
The question is just how much do i take for them when i sell them ?
Anyone have an idea how much i should take for them at 4 cm size ?
I figure that it takes 4 month to get them to between 4 and 5 cm in size and it should be safe to sell them then.
What do the planetcatfish people think ?
