Entry to the watermart now requires the installation of a program (Zend Optimizer). What gives?

It software that's supposed to be installed on the web server. It certainly used to be, I am looking into it.

It's back up now. A recent upgrade to the zend optimization engine by our hosting company knocked out some compiled code in the auction software.
