hello a newbie here

hello, i am fairly new to this fish keeping, only had been at it for a year
came here to hopefully identify a catfish my wife bought me, sold to her as a corydoras lol
on here its kinda different found it as a Pangasius hypophthalmus, wow what a size difference
oh we called him bruce, after the shark in finding nemo

Hi jjpython.

Welcome to the site.

Unfortunately people get sold all sorts things my mistake.

It always pay sto research before you buy, and not take the store's word for it.


The Pangasuis is not a fish suitable for life in an aquarium.

They are too big and active.


I would return it to the store, and shop elsewhere in future.

i am going on the fact that the pictures here, look like it, but obviously not being an expert i dont know for deff, but he doesnt look like any of the corydoras, oh and he is currnetly only 4" long and i have had him for a few months

cool eurospage, we were in north wales last year for our summer hols :)

its a lovely end of the country this, i am from hull originally, but wouldnt move from here
