Website not wholly compatible with firefox...

Post by gakirby »

Hi,

I have very much enjoyed this site as a great reference tool and plain entertainment as I have read through thousands of posts. I have noticed however that in firefox the area in which one could do a forum search, register, login, etc. is covered up with the main site navigation menu. I am not sure if you are aware of this but I would imagine it would be as simple as shifting the embedded object (the forum in this case) down a few pixels so that this can be seen.

I hope you understand what I am trying to tell you, if you don't feel free to ask for a screen shot and I will happily provide it.

Hi. It is the adblocker that causes this.

See here and here.

I hope this helps. :D

Thank you very much.

I had no idea that there were ads due to my adblock plus. I guess I will just have to learn where each button is under the main menu.

Hello,

all you have to do is disable your ABP for PCF. Even then you won´t really notice the small ad.

I am all for using ads on website to gain revenue to offset the costs of hosting, except when I have to view them. Only for PlantCatfish will I stare at that unsightly gray box.

Is there anyway to change it to maybe me a black background with white text? Just so that it isn't as apparent.

If you don't view them, we don't get revenue. If you'd like to donate $100 to the cause, I'll switch them off for a couple of months :-)

Actually, that's not a bad idea at all. I'll have a look at it.

I disabled my adblock so that I can now see the ads on PC. BTW how many people view those ads each month according to adsense?

Looks beautiful. Much less noticeable and keeps with the color scheme much better. Keep up the great work on the site.
