What's the name of my big friend?

Post by cindy »

Hello everybody,

I'm a newbee at this forum, but I need your help in identifying my catfish.
We've just bought him, but he or she has a wound on his upper fin and we want to treat it the best we can.
In order to do so we need the name of this big beauty, so that we can give him the care he deserves.
Please help.

This is our catfish: Image

Sorry for the bad pictures, I hope someone can identify him.

Ok thanks.
I saw a lot of different kinds on the link you gave me, if this is the specie that you think it is how do I treat his wound?

The link shows one species, , with examples from juvenile to aldult, along with the albino form.

If it is a tear in the dorsal fin, it should heal.
