Great day at the LFS yesterday!

Post by steve1088 »

I greatly expanded my collection yesterday. Just look at the prices!
L155 Hystrix 6" $25
L201 Flash 5" $18
L273 Titanic 3" $25
L264 Sultan 4" $18 (I bought two)
L177 Queen Nugget 3" $7.50

I am friends with the LFS owner,so I expected a good deal when he put in his order. But I was blown away by the shipment, especially the 7 dollar L177. On a side note, now I know why Acanthicus Hystrix's common name used to be "Satan Pl*co" He took over the tank in the first 30 seconds he was in there, overthrowing the previously dominant L25. This thing is just plain mean.

Those are indeed very good prices - can I have some at that price too? ;-)

I take it you're aware of the ultimate size of A. hystrix, around 2-3 foot!

He's in a 125 gallon, so he should be fine in that for quite a while. I hope.

A 125g tank is good for a fish up to about a foot long - these grow to well beyond that, but of course, you probably have planned for the extension to a 500g tank by that time, right?
