Clown Pleco- a good choice?

Hello everyone, I'm trying to decide on which pleco I would like to purchase, and I was thinking on the clown pleco. My tank is steady at 78 degrees, ph 7.0 with water that just falls onto the soft side. My tank has algae but not an overabundance of it- I read that they're not the best algae eaters ...

A new pictus- hilarious fish

Hello everyone! I have a new pictus named Molly, she's lovely ^_^ I've had pictus before, but had the unfortunate experience of ending up with a faulty tank shipped to me. :( Crack under the encasement, the tank exploded in my sleep. By the time I'd awoken and found out what happened, all that ...

That's just the problem. -_- Irridescent sharks are so, so popular. I've heard of so many people buying them- keeping them in 10 g tanks. He was much too big for a 15 gallon- the one that's there NOW is- but that other poor fish was nearly as long as the tank ...

Miserable Irridescent Shark! :(

Hello everyone, I'm pretty new to the forum and I wanted to run something by everyone to see what they think. There's an irridescent shark at my lfs- it's been there for a little over a year. It's been in the same gravel-less, one-plant 15 gallon the whole time. The poor thing sits on the bottom ...

Some advice/answers for a newbie?

Hi everyone, I'm a newbie to this board and was hoping for a wealth of info. I'm Michelle from Canada, Newfoundland. I was wondering the ideal tank sizes for keeping the Hypancistrus zebra species. I wasn't sure, because they're not a very large fish in terms of growth- but sometimes size isn ...
