Hey guys, yes plecos do eat the eggs, well at least my L137's do. I have 4 L137's all @9-10cm mark and they love it when my Sterbai's lay eggs. Hey m8 there is 2 types and they are both Australian natives i'm led to believe. Tandanus bostoki, (EEL Tail catty) or sometimes referred to as the Australian Cobbler. Can be fresh water and there is a saltie variety too i believe. I have 3 large specimens which are around 25- 30cm and only 2 years ...

:D this just in from a local fish importer friend of mine here in W. OZ. The L# for Peppermint ancistrus are as follows:LDA04, L300, L176, L031

:D Hi ppl I am not sure of the L- # but here in Australia we call these little beasties "peppermint ancistrus". I am gud friends with a breeder of these little critters and i own 20 or so my self.
