Golden Eel tail catfish
Golden Eel tail catfish
Does anyone know anything about these fish? I have read about other eel tails and apparently they grow up to 90cm far too big for my tank, yet I have only found info on one site about this fish and it says that it grows to 20cm. If anyone has any information on this fish especially size it would be greatly appreciated.

1. putting your location in your profile will help others in giving you the correct advice you seek - what's called an eeltail in one country may be different to a similarly named fish in another part of the world.
2. having a look through this forum for threads with 'eeltail' in the title will help you. http://www.planetcatfish.com/forum/view ... hp?t=18287

Hey m8 there is 2 types and they are both Australian natives i'm led to believe.
Tandanus bostoki, (EEL Tail catty) or sometimes referred to as the Australian Cobbler. Can be fresh water and there is a saltie variety too i believe.
I have 3 large specimens which are around 25- 30cm and only 2 years old. They get large.
Then there's the Rendahli, it has a slimmer head, grows smaller i believe, but still has an eel like tail.
Ihave recently purchased 3 of these Golden eeltails out of curiosity...Will post up some piccies next week hopefully.
