I have been reading lot on hybreed Synodontis catfishes and was just wondering why they are so common. How come ? Are they so easy to make or what ?

My whife has a few problems with the 18 tanks I have. What I do is I talk a lot about how the tanks make me happy and let her see my happyness with the fish.

Electric catfish tankmates ? Possible or not ? I know tankmates are not recomended with electric catfish but have heard of few that keep them with African cicilids without problems. My Tsn is not a bit aggressive but eats all fish that fit in his mouth when I turn the lights off.

I have a few open tanks and a few closed ones. I had some problems with humidity from the open tanks until I remowed the heaters, now I keep all open tanks at room tempature and humidity is not a problem.

I have in my Malawi mbuna tanks without problems:
SAE,
Ansistus,
Peckoltia and Panaque sp.,
Synodontis.
