It's a native North American Catfish. I am not sure what it is exactly though although I am 90% sure that you have a bullhead in the genus Ameiurus. Looks a P. pardalis, the common pleco. Some of the commons have redish fins or spots.

I don't think it's a punctatus. I can't get an exact count, but the picture of the punctatus seems to have more dorsal rays than the pics on this thread.

it looks like a slime mold. Slime molds are not actual funguses but more of bacteria.
