Re: Losing mature common bristlenose
The L66 are still smaller than the bns.
Although thinking about it all - I did move in a male bn from a different tank. He isn't the biggest but commandeered his own cave.
Can one bn terrorize a whole colony?

Problem staying logged in
I used to be able to stay logged in when the box was ticked. For a while now (possibly since Firefox upgrade?) I couldn't stay logged in but now I can't even log in and then click on an email link. I tried to update my cats from the email and it says I am not logged in although I am logged in in ...

I will try and add more hiding places. They have lived together for many years and never fought until they moved into a bigger space.

Re: Synodontis eupterus fighting / bullying
Sorry - I just found the answer to that by searching for feather fin.
I will now need to look out for another couple of adults or will 1 probably be good enough?
Other tankmates are polypterus delhezi.

Synodontis eupterus fighting / bullying
I have taken in a couple of mature Synodontis eupterus from a friend. They were in a 4 ft tank and are now in a 6 x 2 x 2ft. Since the move 2 months ago they have started to fight more and more. there are plenty of hiding spaces. One is more dominant although smaller and darker whereas the larger ...

Re: PLECOS and Indian Almond Leaf
Hi,
If you use oak leaves, when should they be collected - as soon as they fall? Do they need then to be dried?
Have got some oak trees in the garden and would love to give it a go but a bit overcautious I think.
thanks

Re: Bought as clown plec expecting Panaqolus maccus
Thanks. Think you are right - I did look through but clicked on the ones least like mine first time through.
Maybe it will develop more spots as it develops. Thing I notice most about it is the thicker lips (when compared to my bns) when resting under a log.
Came out today when couldn't resist the ...

Hi Kieran,
That's good news. Hope you have success rearing them. I tend to let mine do their own thing and a few survive that way. I used to have an awful lot of them at one point. I think if you move them the main points are keeping them in the same water conditions as your main tank and making ...

Hi,
I have got about 4 and they are still small - about an inch. Will have trouble catching them so probably be ready in a month when I move some fish from that tank. If you find some others in the mean time just let me know.

Re: Do Corydoras Paleatus School? (same Q with Brochis)
I recently acquired a group of 30 panda cories in a well planted tank with lots of bogwood and they spend most of the time in small groups. They are in a 140 gallon community tank so obviously lots of space. I am waiting patiently to see some large group action but have the feeling it will be when I ...

Re: Hatching & Raising fry
Would this apply to hoplo cats as well? They have laid eggs in a bubble nest attached to the crossbar. I need to do a waterchange tomorrow. I can try and do a water in and out at the same time to try and keep the levels up. They won't make it if they hatch though so I will need to try and remove ...
