I would most likely be mishmashing. (nonagressive types of course)

I am thinking about starting a big catfish tank. With Pictus, Channels, and other small Catfish. (maybe a couple of corys and plecos).
I am looking for a lot of advice about tank size and fish recomendations!!!

PLEASE post or recomend something for me. I want this tank to be AWESOME!!!!!

but is it true that they produce high amounts of ammonia?

I have an assortment of fish in my tank. Goldfish, cats, and sharks. What temp. should i have the the tank at and is it safe to have the rest of the fish in the tank because i have heard that Goldfish produce very high ammounts of ammonia which can be toxic to other fish, and I have 3 Goldfish.

well they are still small (about three inches long.) and the pipe has a diameter of 1 inch and has been in there for about 1 day now

I have a filter that hangs down into the tank to suck up water. Three fish have died from getting stuck to it. And now I am very worried because my Pictus Cats like to hang around the filter and I have lost a Channel Cat because of this. Should I get a new filter or is it just bad luck???
