Canidate for Malawi Tank?

I am bored with the common and the bristlenose being in my Peacock show tank. Is there any colorful L-number that can stand the high pH of 8.2? I have tried this before with a red finned cactus, but died after six months due to medication used for a mbuna.

Any idea about what an occifer catfish is? Found them at a LFS and on sale. I think they would be good with my aulonacara or my tanganikians

I always thought the shells could be doing it. I know it was a bad idea for a pleco, even though I created the tank for the cichlids, the shells keep the pH high. I am going to mix in some fine argonite, so s/he won't scrap the body.

I have a few african ciclid tanks and was wondering if there was a bristlenose out there that was more attractive than the common? Any suggestions or experiences would be appreciated.

why did L-66 die?

I added some cichlids to my 45 gallon tank, and I noticed that my king tiger was not around the tank. Well, later in the day I found him in the back, not suctioned to the side or rocks but kind of floating. I thought he was dead, so I had to reach in the tank behind the rocks to grab him and when I ...

Trilby has "one" nice big piece for $80, but I'd rather have a selection if I'm going to spend that much. I'll try Perrysburg.
