Re: What is this?

Looks like it to me but i could be wrong. The lighting makes it look darker. Or perhaps a photo from another dimension would help? You are right people get it wrong on species most times, and its good to research.

(this is pretty much a stab in the dark, but I hope it's close) Honestly, the snout on your fish looks too long to be debilittera but looks closer to L340, so that's why I listed L340 first. But I'm not sure what else would look like this ...

You are most welcome to the forum. Pretty new here myself but am learning each day as well. Wouldn't say am an expert but i think its peckoltia multispinis. They are pretty similar looking and hard to distinct. Would love to hear what experts think. Welcome again!Happy learning as well.

Re: mixing different catfish

You'll need lots of research on which ones are compartible and which ones are not. Also creating an environment where all of them can coexist will be something you have to consider. I am not so good at this but it would be interesting to see what you come up with. Please keep us updated.

Re: Electric catfish with bleeding fins

Apparently it's normal and comes with the mood of the fish so nothing to worry about as they fade in and out on their own.

They are not as common as the rest. I haven't seen them around much. I think i would pay more for the blue eyes, they're pretty cool.
