Here is a recent paper looking for the build-up effects (not specifically pheromones) in recirculated water on growth of some fish ...

Re: Q. How long for my pleco's to reach full size?
This is actually a good question and I like how Mats has divided them for you by rate of growth.
Rate of growth in loricariids will be determined to some extent by the loricariid's diet preference. It is a lot easier to "power feed" a carnivore on high quality live foods than a wood eater. A ...

Feeding snails to plecos
Hi All,
After doing allot of research on the dietary needs for my L128s and L240, I have decided to introduce small tropical Ranshorn snails to the tank. I've read that in particular the L240 love snails and is a staple diet of theirs in the wild and that they use their two fang like teeth to scoop ...

Re: L201???
Thanks gents, so this is a L240?
I obviously got some confusing advice from my LFS! Luckily I have been giving it an omnivorous diet due to being tanked with my 2 L128s. He does tend to take a shine to bloodworm so I should of realised.

Re: L201???
Thanks Raccoll! I will try and upload some more pictures but you don't seem to be able to do it straight from an iPhone. What I have noticed is that it has very hairy pec fins? I understand males can generate these but this little chap is only 40mm-500mm long. Too be honest it's like no other plec ...

L201???
Hello,
I have recently purchased this handsome little chap from my LFS (they had no idea what it was and sold it to me as a BN £8 :-$ )
Please could you help me identify it exactly, I have it in a 80L tank with an internal 1500 LPH filter with just rocks and bog wood to try and simulate the upper ...
