Re: L-152 Pineapple Pleco
Thanks all. I have in a Geophagus/Severum tank with a single 3" red-fin blue eye L-137 I believe is the L#.

Just had this guy shipped in at 6" and can't find a lot of info on this species. Anyone have any experience keeping them?

New L-75 Para Pleco
Just picked this little guy up from my LFS and was wondering if anyone has experience keeping these and could give me some pointers. I'm not new to exotic wild plecos but have never kept these before. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Re: L-47 Mango dies
All the wood in my tanks is dead (hardwood) from Canada. The rotting process has been long over before entering my tanks. Interesting thread though!

Re: L-47 Mango dies
Thanks a lot everyone. I appreciate all the feedback. I have ruled it down to the Mango is just one tough Pleco to keep alive I guess. You live and you learn. Won't purchase another one that's for sure. Damn pretty species though!

Re: L-47 Mango dies
Sorry for your loss. I am afraid that I just don't really understand the Baryancistrus being hard to keep business, once they have started feeding in captivity. I know they can be quite sensitive to oxygenation levels. They are specialised grazer feeders. Vegetarian + daphnia sized critters. What ...

L-47 Mango dies
That very well could be. I'm no scientist or anything but it does make you wonder. I've heard from quite a few ppl about this particular Pleco being so hard to keep alive. I can't say the same for the gold nugget as I have a L-018 and have had it for a little over a year and it seems to be doing ...

Re: L-47 Mango dies
Sorry to hear that. Did yours end up looking the way mine did? Just trying to pinpoint what it was that killed him. I heard from a lot of ppl how hard they are to keep. Guess they were right

L-47 Mango dies
I came home from work to find my L-47 dead. It's housed with a L-91, L-137, and a group of Severums. Had him for about 4 months and he was doing great. Avert one in that tank seemed to mind they're own business. Water parameters are good and tank temp was always around 80°F. Fed only the best food. ...

Had this for awhile. L-215??
This is a mean sucker! Really aggressive for a Pleco. Unlike any of my others I keep. Bought as a L-215 white tip Pleco. Have never seen anyone else with one and don't hear to much about them. Is this a correct ID and does anyone know much about this species or keep them as well ...

Re: PLEASE HELP! Wound on Vampire
Not a burn. It's not getting better it may be getting worse. Less white on the wound now but you can see flesh more. Seems like its a flesh eating disease or something. Does anyone know what it is or what I could do?the iodine didn't work. Would peroxide?

Re: PLEASE HELP! Wound on Vampire
Well that didn't help any. It doesn't seem to be getting worse though. Hopefully it's just a burn and will heal in time

Re: PLEASE HELP! Wound on Vampire
Definitely gonna look into it. He's not bothered by anyone at all. I have a L-200 in with him too but it's a 4ft long tank so they both have plenty of ground and hiding places (driftwood, caves, ect). I did notice him around the heater tho lately, so you may be correct but if it is it looks like 3 ...

If you seen the tank hiding places are abundant. It is raised off the body though. Heater burns aren't like that I don't think

Their is 3 patches making one big patch almost. It's raised off the body as well. I think it's a fungus of some sort. How would you treat this?
