That would be an option if it wasn't impossible. I currently only have 1 adult female in the tank. and the fry if there is any are far to young to be mature as they would only be a month old.

Hi. my ancistrus male has been in his cave nearly a month now and never left. This is the second time my ancistrus has spawned. i currently have about 30-40 fry in another tank growing. The first batch of fry was hatched the 3rd of january and left the cave about a week later.

I have never really bred them it just happened once about 2 weeks after i bought the albino pair, the caves are small but not really tight fit but they were not sealed good so it got in tons of sand so if he wants it tight he can have it if not he will have to move the sand.

I use a Fluval u3 filter in my tanks, i would like to hide the filter but it's quite expensive to get a background to cower it, i think ill keep trying to make him so scared for the area around the filter he won't even dare to come close to it again.
