he didn't eat at all yesterday and he's lost a bit of weight :)

hey guys, my banjo is really, really FAT!!

I'm wondering if it is eating to much or it's decided to be gravid...what do you guys think?

I'll try get a pic if it tomorow at feeding time :)

I think they are brakish but will live happily in freash water ....the same as mollies i guess

I have a question.....I have a 50g with a sand substrate and i was wondering if the eel i'm putting in (nota catfish :o ) will stir up the sand enough? should i stirr the sand up before i put him in?

That brings up another question.....how would you do gravel vacs with leaves on the bottom? wouldn't they get sucked up the siphon?

did you say 0 nitrAtes?? there should be a reading for nitrate...I'm sure NO nitrates id dangerous and high nitrates is dangerous

I'm from Christchurch, New Zealand :D

plenty of catfish here put fish cost alot more :( they are alot healthier than most places though :lol: (i guess the 6 week quarantine period does some good :) )

Thanks for your help guys. Here in NZ, the price of imported fish skyrockets as the supplier has to quarantine them for 6 weeks. their price will also have to cover any losses (usually about 50% i think) the benifits are we only get healthy fish :) We are paying up to $180 for gold nugget pl*cos and ...
