Hi,
Though this worm infestation has not yet apparently affected the catfish which are tank mates with this cardinal, I'm worrying they already may be infected but still without visible evidence. The cardinal is doing remarkable well so far.
There are a couple other cardinals which may be affected ...

Re: Good Fish Shops, L-breeders, resellers in Copenhagen,Den
The stocklist of www.neonfisken.dk is updated daily. I know that they've received a new sending now in quarantine, but they've told me that the new sending will be available for sale start of December. BTW: Catfish is "maller", corys "pansermaller" and loris "sugemaller" in danish.
Best of luck!

Hi,
Try http://www.neonfisken.dk, they have a lot of cats.
Otherwise, http://www.cichlidecentret.biz/ provides OUTSTANDING service, advice etc., and you can't get fish or "hardware" cheaper around here.
You might also want to check out http://www.akvarieudstyr.dk

I'd also like to hear if you guys concur on, that these are all Ancistrus cf. cirrhosus . They were all sold as Ancistrus spp , or Common Ancistrus .
The two WT dark ones are about 2.5 inches, and the albino juveniles are about 1.5 inches. Originally I was told common Ancistrus meant Ancistrus ...

I don't know if everybody does this, but I was given the advice to keep the salinity (for a fresh-water tropical tank) at 0.05%, i.e. technically at the lower limit of brackish water and upper limit of freshwater. Among the reasons for doing this is to reduce the likelihood of various forms of ...

Hello,
I'd like to commend you guys for an outstanding site!

Husbandry notes not viewable
Hi,
It looks like the husbandry notes are not published - I can't see any notes regarding other members tanks and species listings, and I can't see mine either, except when I click the "Edit" button for each species in the "view aquaria" section?

Re: Ancistrus caught behind background!
The little Houdini is back! :o Either he has dug an under-gravel (and "under-background"!) passageway or he has made an incredible jump over and across the background again. Both of the possibilities seems highly unlikely to me. Can't figure out how he did it, but the important thing is he's doing ...

Re: Supplemental Light For Fish Photography
Hi Mats!
Hmmm... very interesting there, and THANK YOU for that idea. I certainly did not think of using a camera flash unit.
But since it's a strobe-type light, how do you "trigger" it, to get the light at the moment you need it? Do you have an "extension cable" for that purpose? (I'm rather new ...

Re: snails
I agree with the people praising the assasin or killer snail ( Anetome helena ). They eradicated my snail infestation, and they are easy to remove when there are too many because of their size and slow reproduction rate. And they are quite pretty too (IMO). Furthermore, they also act as a "bottom ...

Re: Ancistrus caught behind background!
Hi,
Thanks for your thoughts on how to solve the problem. There's room enough for him to do OK for a while, but not room enough to get to him with a net - also, since the background is 3D there's unfortunately plenty of "caves" at the bottom I have no chance to get to, so I don't think the "scooping ...

Ancistrus caught behind background!
Hi,
I have an BTN amazonas background in my tank. Somehow my male ancistrus ca. 2.5 inches long has been caught behind it - I don't know how, there's no passage between the front and back except for the hole for water to be able to circulate through the filter etc., and there's a net in front of it ...
