I had this also on my L102.. It seem to be a bacterial infection.
I treated the fish with a salt bath.

If you go to the vet, please let us know what he said.

No, I onlu use the tumbler when necessary.
They were geophagus is the breeding tank, so that's why I took the eggs after 3 days.

I kept them for almost 3 years now, and in the last 3 months they gave me about 50 nice youngsters. I think it's a very attractive species.

Hi all,

I have some problems rearing L140 fry.
There seem to be a problem when the yolk sac has been used, to get them to normal food. I had a batch of 50 youngsters, now only 5-10 pieces survived.
What food would you gave them?

A shop in holland, called Utaka, have imported these ancistrus as ancistrus minutus, are they!?
They are caught in the rio tocantins, and are 8-9cm TL.

I will condition them the next few months and see if something happens, if not we can always catch them again and take some better pictures, also from the side.
But as I said, I will condition them now with some good frozen foods and a lot of water changes.

I don't have the first 4 of them quite long, like 4 days or so.
The other ones are here 1 year.
I give them dry food and frozen food.

They are since yesterday in there tank all by themselfs, so I know they have to fatten up.
On picture they are really skinny, but they have a full belly when I saw ...
