Most ottos are better around 25-26 a few tolerate high 20's i dont think 30 plus is good,i may stand corrected as otto knowledge isn't studied as much as other more high profile catfish.

When spotlighting using filters at night is a way to see without frightening wildlife,filters of red,blue,yellow and green have been used by pro shooters depanding on lighting levels.
Red and blue is best,movement is what fish take fright from so slow movement is needed.

It hard to tell each year more are said to be found anywhere between 21-40 types are said to be named alot i think are the same fish with slight difference's in markings. No firm id's seem to have been confirmed 12 only seem to have had studies with 12 others appearing to be different but no studies ...

Price would be main bearing as some haven't been for sale hear for 4 years and the candy is most common from all the above choices. 2 haven't come up for sale in 7 years and i dont think are hear at all due to strict import rules. Get ashot in water from side, ( it may be stressed from being out of tank ) it is quite normal for most stripes to fade as they mature a stripe stays more in fins than body, dots are quite normal.
