Yes I do have a hospital tank at my disposal, so if anything were to not work out as planned then I have that covered.
The plan was to put juvenile tiger barbs in the tank to grow up with whatever centerpiece fish I end up deciding upon. I was hoping that would make them more accustomed to the fish ...

Re: Awesome Catfish
Yes I understand tiger barbs are not the best fish to be housed with catfish, but I thought something might work...currently I have 9 tiger barbs in a community tank with 2 bristlenose and 3 roseline sharks (Puntius denisonii), so far no problems what so ever.
Tiger barbs are pretty active, so I ...

However, I was thinking I wanted a nice center piece fish. I was picturing in my head a dark sand bottom or black ...

Hahaha, yeah I know I was asking for alot (but you answered fantastically 'MatsP')
Perhaps breeding is not necessary, but I just enjoy having the possibility of that challenge (currently all the fish I own are somewhat easily spawned.
Just wanted something unique to use as a good center piece ...

Alright thanks Mats
I already have 2 different sized wood caves made up, working on the Tile cave, I just thought it might be a good idea to have as much variety as possible, thats why I was asking about the clay caves

Wow this is really inspiring thank you everyone!
would you happen to have a picture of your caves "krazygeoff"? I think that would really help me out
thanks again
what about feeding, just the normal plecos foods or anything unique to the P. Maccus?

whoa whoa, so mats this whole time you have had a p. maccus tank as well?
I would take it then you have not been able to get them to breed yet? or are not trying?
Hopefully I will have it all set up and running by the weekend...
Any other suggestions?

Re: P. Maccus - Clown pl*co Breeding
since I have never attempted this...what would you consider good filtration?
would a fluval 205 be way too powerful? Would attaching a DIY spray bar to it even out the flow enough or should I just stick with my HOB filters?

Hey I know its been awhile, I have been quite busy with other fish stuff, but I really plan on setting up this L-104 tank...
I will post pictures, but I dont have much hope as I only have the spare 10 gal tank, just something to try...as I haven't been able to find any reasonably priced Bristlenose ...
