Thanks for the links, Stunning rays as well, My LFS recently had a jurensis in with a motoro and teh motoro bashed it - the sting to the head killed the fish within 2 hours  , would you keep a tigrinus with a stingray :?: Do you know of the likelyhood of any problems :?:
Thanks

L47 Breeding?

Hi All,

Has anyone had any experience / or know of any resources where people have bred these fish. They are refered to as Magnum / mango or coffee & cream plecs - Has it been done in an aquarium before and what sort of requirements do they have?

Thanks

Tristan :)

Hi again, Spoke to the boss at the shop, he recons that they get to about 10" total length, (including the head & tail). Their shell measures about 5" in diameter. He also said that they take about 6-7 years to grow to that size. He has some small ones - 2-3" across and a couple of bigger ones- 5 ...

I agree with Shane. You get this gill curl with arowana if the live in poor quality accommodation, i.e. cramped/ bad water quality, it can be operrated on by a vet, they surgically remove part of the operculum, but sometimes the re-growth is not so good.

Hope this helps

The most common cause of Royals' deaths when you get them home is starvation. Often they haven't eaten anything during their quarantine "if they had any" and therefore become more susceptable to disease. A full belly is the most important thing, i agree with Mats. There are so many different types ...

The sales men at the shops were right to an extent as the malawi cichlids are not too well adapted to digesting high protein foods as they predominantly graze algae from rocks etc. I do, however feed sparing amounts of bloodworm to my malawi community tank and they eat it with relish. I think that ...
