Ok, cheers guys, I think I'll just leave them to it. I may get a fishkeeping friend to come in and feed them their frozen food once, but from what I have heard it isn't overly important!

How long can they go without food?

Hi all! I am going on holiday shortly for 10 days, and am wondering what to do about my 4 King Tiger Plecs, L66. They are in a 30" at the moment, but will soon be moved into a 4'. The tank is the usual set up, sand, gravel, lots of rocks, caves, bogwood etc...! The tankmates are 1 oto, plus lots of ...

I'm afraid your fish isn't actually a catfish but a loach, probably a botia longiventralis. It will grow to about 12cm long and will not eat algae, but may graze through it on plant leaves, looking for scraps of food. Hope this helps :D

Hey all, I set up the tank on sunday, but have made slight alterations. The box filter is the only filter in the tank so far, but I want to put a powerhead with a sponge on the bottom of it, in also. Does this sound Ok? So far in the tank there is one piece of bogwood, lots of small slate caves and ...

I have 5 adult Endler's livebearers in with them which act as dither fish and the babies are live food. (though I havn't yet noticed any babies missing :? ). How big is it? I ...

Yep, definately a corydoras pygmaeus! They do best when kept in a small shoal, anything more than 5, otherwise they tend to be less active. Real characters, I have 11 at the moment! They eat flake, but love BBS and daphnia, (live or frozen). :D Males grow to 2cm, females get to 3cm. Hope this helps ...
