Anchor Worm
Hi Recently noticed this on a couple of the corys recently imported in: http://i807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/H1tchh1ker/Pl3co/IMG_2449_zpsfe4657b2.jpg *note* the 2 thin white sting like things on the tip of the front Eques. Aside from that, there are also a few others with the same white string ...

Re: L46 (Indo Bred) found at LFS
A very nice looking specimen. They are, in my opinion, a very easy species to keep and relatively easy to breed. I have been averaging about 1-2 broods every year without even trying to stimulate them or condition them. Here is what I think: 1) Tank: as with all plecos, larger footprint is more ...

are you sure they are not Corydoras? as there are a bunch of species of Corydoras that grows to over 2.5".
Otherwise, perhaps Scleromystax, Dianema or Haplosternum?

Pseudacanthicus with broken hard ray on Caudal fin
Hi Just wanted to ask a quick question about whether the hard fin would grow back under normal/clean/healthy conditions. I know with minor injuries on hard ray or damage on soft rays are no problem since they grow back pretty quickly, but as I was moving my L24, about 1" of its hard ray broke off ...

Hi Everyone, I am about to get a group of zebs, and from the picture, it looks like a group of 3 males and 2 females. If someone can confirm or correct me. It would be great. Hi everyone, I have a quick question about proper cave sizes for L66/L333. Does anyone have any suggestions on what the ideal length and opening size is? I was looking at these caves: http://welshoehlen-laichhoehlen.de/product_info.php/info/p7_Cave-size-4-black-brown-blackly.html/XTCsid ...

Placement of LDA105 on the cat-e-log
Hey
I was just randomly looking up different Pseudacanthicus species, and noticed that when you click on "LDA-numbers" under Numbers in the drop down menu.
LDA-105 is placed in between LDA-10 and LDA-11.

Re: What does 'af' stand for?
wc in general convo stands for "wild caught". I dont think there is a scientific use of wc. And cb means captive bred. the cf. used in scientific names on the other hand is a latin abbreviation. Abbreviating for confer (literally meaning "bring together") meaning compare. For example ...

Congrats and welcome to the world of zebras. Re: L260 staying near the surface of the tank
hmmmm.......I am stumped.
if the water after a retest is still good. My only suggestion is to put in a piece of malaysian driftwood with lots of nooks and crevices, if that still doesnt help, we can at least for sure rule out lack of hiding spots.....long shot...I know..

Re: L260 staying near the surface of the tank
when you turn on the light or use a flashlight, do they quickly swim away or pretty much stay there? Bad news if they just stay there. I first two thoughts were high ammonia/nitrite or not proper oxygenation. Try testing the water again when its sunny out to you will be able to see clearly, and keep ...

did the male ever do to fertilize the eggs? And she just laid them in the middle of the tank? onto of substrate? not even in a cave or anything?.
I have never experienced this, but it doesnt sound like the eggs are viable and fertilized.

they look like ramshorn snail egg clutches....
due to their clear sac with white dot appearance and the fact that no one els in the tank would lay eggs like these.
