In my experience as long as the colouration / pattern on the synos and L nos is not to similar most seem to get on pretty much ok, most of the time ignoring one another.

I sometimes have the same issue, mine can get quite bloated if im not careful feeding. I have 2 angelicus, 2 eupterus and 2 petricola in with about 12 malawi's (labidochromis, dimidichromis, pseudotropheus species) generally I find it good to have set days for not feeding eg mine( all fish) get ...

I agree it's best to keep these at least in a trio. I have 3 in my 4' Rift Valley tank. Naturally they will frequent the caves, to get mine out I fed lightly even starved for a couple of days (does not seem to affect them, probably because they will get any cichlid eggs or fry in the tank). Then ...

Angelicus and ?

I have a chance at getting a couple of young angelicus syno's. Size and housing, space wise is not a problem. I would like views on which other syno's can be kept with them. I have never mixed syno's but have kept Eupterus, Lace and Nigriventris succesfully on there own (species tanks). Any ideas or ...

I have had ich in my tanks about 3 or 4 times and whilst I have always managed to succesfully treat it I am pretty sure that a major cause of most outbreaks comes down to water quality. Good to see you know water parameters.

Glad to hear the ich has gone...
Always stick with manufacturers recommended dose rate, never mix treatments ever. Always keep the water changes going and feed lightly. These are always sound tactics when treating ich.

Sounds like they are just about over it. Keep a close eye over the next month once the ich has gone. When I purchased my 3 baby eupterus they were infected. Did roughly the same as yourself 29C water temp, treated with king british ich treatment, took about 3 weeks to clear. Mine are in Rift tank so ...

Which pleco's for Rift tanks

Anybody suggest which pleco's would be best suited to Rift tanks...bearing in mind ph will be 7.8 to 8.0 mark. Or is this not a good idea at all ??
I have plenty of Syno's living with some of my Rifts but would like to try keeping pleco's with them.
