Hi,

I am sure your whiptail catfish is a species of the genus Hemiloricaria. It could be H.eigenmanni or a similar species.
I always use Artemia to feed young Hemiloricaria for the first few days. Later on I take Cyclops Eeze und pulverized pellets. Some species want to have some herbal food. Look what the adults prefer.

I wrote a couple of articles on my web site describing the challenges of raising L-010a fry and a device to keep food in front of the fry without contmainating the water.
