what size tank for L134?

I am thinking of getting 6 L134's and maybe 2 L204's.
Would a 120ltr tank be large enough to house them, and will the L204's be compatible with the L134's.
Thanks

They should be fine. I have 5 L134 in a 20 gallon right now, conditioning to spawn, and they aren't squabbling much. The L204 are a bit aggressive, so you'll want to make sure they get fed with enough distribution to keep them from hogging what they want, but I don't foresee any real problems with the mix.

Thanks Barbie
I'll give it a whirl and keep a close watch on the l204 for signs of squabbling etc.

They haven't spawned yet, no. The male just recently really took ownership of his cave, and there are 2 females that are REALLY conditioned, so hopefully they'll eventually figure it out

Hi Vedran,
if it works, it´s easy, if not, is´s really difficult ;)
I, for example, have had no problems at all raising nearly all of the fry for the last three years, and now, suddenly, since summer 2004, most of the young fish die of unknown reasons, ...
Nothing hast been changed, discussions for hours, experiments in each possible variation... no better results.
So what´s easy? Two or three years ago I would have said "its easy to raise L 134 fry" (and two friends told me "it´s difficult"), today I tell you "it´s difficult" and don´t know, why its difficult suddenly ;) (and today Rolo Kipper will tell you "it´s easy"...).

Hi Lisa,
I have four L134s thriving in a 55gal community tank. They squabble A LOT but its mild territory stuff really.
I'm curious to know where you are sourcing your L134s from as I am looking to get 2-3 more?
I also have 6 young L260s growing on in a 28Gal tank. How many do you have and what conditions are they kept in?
Mine are currently in a tank on their own. Temp is 84F, loads of current and added air. External and internal sponge filter. They seem to be thriving although I NEVER see them. I just know they are ok because all the food is gone in the morning and I count them every 3-4 weeks when I do a large water change.
Cheers

Hi tom
I am still searching for some L134 at the moment and up to now Trimar is the only place that have any.I may get them delivered from there if i can't source any nearer to home, only problem is i don't really like to purchase sight unseen.
I have 5 semi-adult l260 & 1 young one about 2.5".They are in a 50 gal tank with 4 Botia histrionica and a solitary blue Gourami.
The tank is furnished with artificial caves and bogwood.Temp 82F ph is around 7.4. The tank is filtered with an eheim external & a fluval internal that is providing plenty of flow/air via the venturi.
I never really see much of the L260's 'til lights out unless i peer into the caves and catch a glimpse of 'em.
The young one as taken up residence in a tiny nook in a piece of bogwood and i first thought i had lost it 'cos i never saw it at all for about 4 weeks, upon searching for what i thought would be a corpse i spotted him wedged in his hidey hole still alive to my relief.
Cheers

Hi Lisa,
I might be able to get four this weekend. I would want two for myself, let me know if you would be interested in the other two and I'll look into it.
Cheers
