I recently picked up a big pair of bristlenose and have the tank conditions perfect except for I do not know what temp. would be best to keep them at in order to breed them.

I realize they will not breed for awhile as they are still settling in, I got them a week ago, and they are eating zucchini and spirulina wafers very well.

I forgot to add originally that I am keeping them at 74 degrees farenheit.

Good lead-in for me to brag about my Gus(mum) & Warren(dad) that spawned in my "coldwater tank" just before Christmas.

Gus is about 3 inches (TL) and Warren is about 2 inches.

The tank is kept at 22'C. Water is quite hard (tap-water in England tend to be, with a few exceptions, due to the chalky nature of the ground), pH is around 7.5-8 (I've only got a "broad range" pH test), NO3 < 25 ppm, NO2 ~0, NH3 ~0.

Unfortunately, the Goldfish (approx 4" TL) that is in the same tank thought this was an excellent oppurtunity for some protein intake, so none of the little ones survived more than a day. Next time it happens, I'll make sure goldfish is moved off-site... I tried moving a few of them to another tank, but for some reason they seem to have disappeared.

I got Warren in late November (I think). I've had Gus for more than a year. So, Warren had been in the tank for about 4 weeks when they spawned.
