It's very similar to F.vittata, but isn't. And looks like F. gracilis, but the caudal coloration isn't the same. Any idea?

Thanks in advance.

OD,
I am leaning towards F. mariaelenae, but need a photo of the belly scutes to confirm any ID. Are there 2 or 3 rows of scutes?

Hi!

First I'd like to thank planetcatfish for the invaluable information it has provided all these years. I got a breeding group of rineloricaria microlepidogaster (i think) and they have bred for the first time, using techniques i read from here.

Second, will farlowella species crossbreed? I have 3 pieces, 2 have short snouts, 1 long, not sure of the sexes. Is there a possibility they will mate?

Thanks and more power!

Macondo,
I am unaware of any Farlowella crossbreeds in nature or the aquaria. I do not think it is impossible, I just have never heard of it happening.
