stocking for 30 gallon cory tank

I am in the process of setting up a 30 gallon (36"X12"X15") tank just for corydoras species. Currently, I have 3 C. aeneus, 5 C. panda, and 3 C. paleatus. All are in separate tanks right now, but I would like to move them all to the new 30 gallon. Are 11 cories of these species too many for a surface area of 36"X12"? Thanks!

Your 11 Corys will be very happy in their new home. Based on the species you listed I would keep the temperature no highter than 75-76 degrees. If you decide to add a few more Corys there is enough room. Are you keeping any other fish in the tank besides the Corys?

Thanks for the reply!
My tank has stayed around 76-78 degrees, so I'll try to turn it down a little before I put everybody in there (is that mainly because of the pandas?). I might add another C. aeneus and C. paleatus so those guys can have more buddies. And besides the Corys, there will be no other fish. They have always been my favorite, and I made this tank just for them so I could keep as many as possible

i'm also planning to upgrade my cory only tank from a 30 gallon to a 75 gallon. 48 x 18 x 18 inches tank.
how many cories can i fit into my tank?:)

Check out the dwarf cories. I believe that c. hastatus and pygmaeus will swim at the mid-level. They are fairly small 1.5" max, and are more shoaling than the others. They are difficult to find, but well worth it. The C. Habrosis (another dwarf variety) breeds quite readily and I believe it is true with the other pygmy cories.
